Liquid Nitrogen Pumping
About the course:
While there are many different types and layouts of nitrogen units, They will work on similar principles. This course is aimed at offering a general understanding of these principles and the methods involved in how to safety operate a liquid nitrogen pump. In this module we will look at the various components of liquid N2 pump and the hazards involved during its operation.
Nitrogen pumping services in three areas: cementing, stimulation, and coiled tubing. There is one pumping service that can be used in each of these area: nitrogen pumping.
1.Nitrogen can be used in cementing to generate foamed cement.
2.Nitrogen can be used in stimulation services as an artificial energizer.
3.Nitrogen can also be used with coiled tubing lift fluids and in cleaning out the well bore.
Who should attend :
Mechanical Engineering, Technicians, Field engineers and Nitrogen Pump Operators.
Objectives:
In this training module, you will learn to do the following:
1.Demonstrate an understanding of the basic concepts and behaviors of nitrogen as a gas and as a liquid.
2.Identify the parameters affecting the behaviors of nitrogen as a gas and as a liquid.
3.Demonstrate a knowledge of the production process of liquid nitrogen.
4-Demonstrate a knowledge of the special equipment used to handle nitrogen in the field.
5-Demonstrate a knowledge of safety hazards involved when pumping a gas or energized fluid.
